The meeting was aim at validating mapping up report, briefing of FLY's activities, opening mapping-up window which will begins on (May 1-30, 2009), and finally the status on the National Youth Policy Bill (NYPB) proposed action.

The meeting was attended by executives of FLY which included the first vice president Mr. Augustus Zazay, General Secretary Mr. Marcus Wah, and member Organizations of FLY.

Mr. Zazay urges Youths to identify permanant issues araising from their various communities which will be review by FLY and subsiquently supported if need be.

In regards to the NYPB, the President said "We have being asking and appealing to government since three (3) years now to pass this bill on Youth Policy but to no avail, this thing is like giving your petition to someone to help you pass it who doesn't have interest in you. Quit recently this same NYPB was given to the Hon. Minister of Information Mr. Bropleh who said he will do everything in his power to convade the petition to the President Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf on her visit in the United States, so we are still awaiting their arrival." President Zazay also said, if the effort fail this time around and the NYPB is not pass into law, the Youths of this country will have no alternative but to take further action. Some youth(s) groups expressed that what is leading to the delay of government in passing this bill is due to the weakness and deplomatic approach of FLY. "Sometimes there are radical action which needs to be taken by the Youths to PUSH government to the wall in other to move" said Andrew Wilson a youth group leader from the Township of Caldwell, Bushrod Island.

Briefing on FLY's activities in the country, Mr. Zayzay said FLY is now operating in nine (9) of the 15 counties of Liberia. Motorbikes and other logistics were given to County Youth Coordinators assigned in those counties to coordinate and monitor activities ongoing. Moreover, FLY is trying to fine out through research on the high engagement of Police brutality by youths around the country where Police station were burn down to ashes by angry Youths. "There's a need that a training/workshop be conducted throughout the 15 counties with Youths and Police under the same roof inother to come out with findings on what has being the root cause to such actrocities carry out by Youths."

In conclusion, Youths share their views on machinism that can be put in place to get the National Youth Policy Bill pass by the house of legislature, as officials of FLY seeks permation for adequate time to come out with a better solution on how to tackle the issue of the bill.
