163 Women have graduatted from Youth Center for Wome's Empowerment in Liberia. The women mainly drawn from the slum community of west point were awarded certificates for completing courses in Tailoring, Hairdressing, Jewelry Making, Computer, photography, Adult Literacy, soap making, baking, and interior decoration.
The graduation ceremony took place on 4th June 2009. Women who had gone through the program graduated with new skills and capital to start up a businesses.
The occassion was also used to encouraged women to join the exercise in helping to rebuild post war Liberia.
